Easter is a season of hope, joy, and celebration of the resurrection of our Savior, Jesus Christ. While most of us will spend this time in high spirits and surrounded by family, that isn’t the case for everyone — especially many of our brothers and sisters in Guatemala.
This year marks the 5th anniversary of the founding of the Bethany Center — a ministry run by Missionhurst missionaries with various locations in Guatemala that focuses on serving the poorest of the poor. While this is a huge milestone, there is still much to be done to ensure the individuals we are serving receive proper nutrition, health care, and protection. Our team is working tirelessly to help with a number of projects at the Bethany Center from providing meals to the poor, education to children, and shelter to families. At this very moment, our missionaries are helping those suffering from extreme cases of malnutrition, violence, and poverty in Guatemala.
This Easter, I ask that you take a second to reflect and give thanks for the many blessings you have in your life whether it’s your family, your job, your relationship with God, or your health. Then I ask that you think about our brothers and sisters in Guatemala that desperately need our support to ensure they have all the necessities that they need to get by each day.
Even through times of hardship and despair, those we serve in Guatemala find opportunity, happiness, and motivation to make the best out of every situation. We ask that you consider joining us in providing support and care for the families in Guatemala this Easter — any amount you provide will make a difference! If you’re unable to provide financial support at this time, we invite you to get involved in other ways by lifting up these individuals in prayer, spreading the word about our cause to your friends and family, and staying in touch with our work in this region.
As always, we thank you for your continued generosity and dedication to our organization. May you and your loved ones be blessed during this Easter season.
